Good Friday - Traveling Back to San Jose

TRAVEL UPDATE - 4:14pm (1:14pm PST) We were able to do the following without any issues, praise the Lord! ✅ drop off the rental cars ✅ drop off our luggage ✅ receive our boarding passes ✅ make it through TSA (yeah!) Right now we are at the Louisville Airport at our Gate. GOOD FRIDAY Before Breakfast, several staff and students woke up earlier to remember what Jesus did for us.   We read through Matthew 26:36 - 27:66 and had a time of prayer When the centurion and those with him who were guarding  Jesus  saw the earthquake and all that had happened,  they were terrified, and exclaimed,  “Surely he was the Son of God!” Matthew 27:54 OUR LAST MORNING AT CLEAR CREEK CHURCH BREAKFAST This morning we had our last breakfast at Clear Creek Church. LAST DEVOTIONAL After Breakfast, we had our last devotional, this time it was given by staff member Eric. Eric shared from Matthew 14, and Jesus walking on the water. Thursday (Last Day of Working)

CLEAR CREEK FREE CHURCH        (aka "home" for the week) (Team photo before heading out to the community center one last time) (Our home for the week) After breakfast, Ryan Wheeler lead a devotion on 1st Peter 4:10 and using our gifts and talents. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others,   as faithful  stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 1st Peter 4:10 CARRIE COMMUNITY CENTER Today was our last day working at the Carrie Community Center.   We finished the platform that will be used for music performances like a bluegrass band.  We did more landscaping, painting and demolition for the bathroom. After finishing at the community center,  we headed back to Clear Creek Free Church for lunch,  before heading to downtown Hazard. Wednesday (Day 3)

  Today we started off our day with Breakfast and a devotion by Sophia Poonen on Matthew 7:7: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find;  knock and the door will be opened to you.   For everyone who asks receives;  the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks,  the door will be opened." Carl Today Carl, a local government official gave us a pep talk and a "thank you".  Carl is really the major reason that we had materials to do the repairs for the Carrie Community Center. Dairy Queen After a hard day of working, we ended the day with Dairy Queen.

Tuesday (Day 2)

 After breakfast, Ryan Kinoshita led a devotional on Matthew 11:28-30:   “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.   Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,   for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.   For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” We then headed over the Carrie Community Center again. CARRIE COMMUNITY CENTER We continued to hang up ceiling tiles and do yard work.  We also did some demolition of the bathroom floor, painting, and started work on a platform.
